‘Women renew US labour movement’

If the American labour movement succeeds in reinventing itself, this may well be owed to women like Sandy Pope (candidate for the presidency of the Teamsters, who was defeated by incumbent James Hoffa), Mary Kay Henry (president of services union SEIU) and Rose Ann DeMoro (president of National Nurses United), the New York Times argues. The latter took on Wall Street and was a source of inspiration for the occupy movement.
